When I first decided to do a styled shoot I have to admit that I had no idea what I wa getting myself into! There was a lot of work, a lot of planning, and yes... a lot of stress. BUT it was totally worth it. Along the way I got to meet and work with some of the most incredible vendors... seriously this group of talented went above and beyond. Sure i may have learned that I definitely have my weaknesses in planning things like this... and I learnt that the rain will come at exactly the moment you dont want it to... and it will be 20 degrees colder then it should be and the wind will ever end. So even though this was to be honest and so much harder than I thought it would be, I can say I am so proud of the team of people behind this and the images we created. And the icing on the cake? We were featred on The Frosted Petticoat! Be sure to check it out! Special Thanks To:
Michelle of Teal Petal Cakes- You were 100% on board from the very beginning. I could not have imaged a more suitable person to do the cakes for this shoot. Your fun funky sense of style will always have a special place in my heart
Carol of Party Reflections- I came into the building with not a clue. Thank you for guiding me and making this little photographer feel welcome in the big world of weddings. You are a gem to work with and oh so patient. Not to mention y'all have the best farm house tables around :)
Susannah Brinkley, graphic designer- You are so incredibly talented! The succulent invitations with just the right amount of fun color were just the perfect addition to this shoot! Thanks for listening to me trying to explain my vision and actually understanding what I was trying to say!
Ashely of Plum Hair Atelier- I cannot express to you how thankful I am that you and Robyn participated in this shoot! Our model looked amazing without a doubt. But more importantly you we so kind and giving. For those of you who dont know, due to weather the shoot date changed, and last minute Ashley and Robyn jumped on board to save the day. These ladies, and this salon is amazing and oh so talented! Fun fact- one of the stylist did my eyebrows after I saw what a great job they did with my model... needless to say they look amazing. Now I just need a hair cut :)
Pam at Cloer Family Vinyards- None of this could have happened without a place to take photos! Pam opened up her entire vineyard to us to use and gave us free reign of creativity. It was such a joyful place to be and Pam is just so sweet... it made our lives so much easier. If anyone is lookin for a small intimate place for a special occasion(small wedding, bridal shower, luncheon, girls day...) I 110% recommend this place.... it beautiful, has great wine, and even better people!
Diamonds Direct Crabtree- Barak an Ginny you guys rock. And have great rocks. But seriously guys if you are looking for a special something for your special someone you absolutley must go to this place! Yes the selection of diamonds, wedding bands and fashion pieces is unbelievable. But more importantly the CARE they give to their customers is unparalleled. Go in and see for yourself... and tell them I sent you :)
Ashley our model- My beautiful sweet friend! Thank you for standing for HOURS out in the cold wind! You were such a trooper and in the end we could not be happier with the way everything turned out and hope you love these images as much as we do!
Lastly to my sweet husband Jordan and business partner Christian. You two rocked it. You put up with the bad weather, but more importantly you put up with me an even managed to get some great stuff. You guys are the best!
