They say you should never judge a book by its cover... well, I am going to start a new saying. You should never judge a cloud by its storm. Too cheesy? Well I do not care, and let me tell you why. When we were driving up to do Jessica and Jordan's engagement session there was quite the scary front rolling in. I was so devastated because not only is this couple so sweet and adorable, but we were going to be shooting on a private 600 acre farm- literally my dream. I just wanted it to be perfect. So we pull up, get out of the car and it pretty much instantly starts raining... hard. Trying to hide my disappointment I grab our bubble umbrellas out of the trunk and because (thankfully) Jordan and Jessica are SUCH troopers, they ventured out into the field with us. In the rain. Seriously we owe you guys some cookies for that haha. Well... even though it was raining we got some pretty darn fun shots, and then something magical happened. The rain slowed and stopped, and the clouds lingered during that harsh light... then at sunset they all but disappeared and out came the most gorgeous glowing sunset ever. Thats right people, in ONE shoot we had rainy weather, overcast weather, and sunny weather! The drastic changes in weather made for such an amazing experience and really diverse photos. So rain cloud... I applaud you, and you are now my friend!
Jessica and Jordan, we can not thank you enough for putting up with the rain and our crazy ideas... we had such a wonderful time with you both and can not WAIT for your wedding!!
